Just watched the promo for the season finale.

Guys, in between my Makorra feels and Keyboard smashes, I wasn’t able to catch this, but now that I have I’m hella terrified.

Amon says in the trailer:

“Tonight, I rid the world of bending. Forever.”

Alright, so I stopped and thought about that for a second.

I was thinking along the lines of, “Amon, bro, you do realize that there are thousands of benders, right? There’s no possible way you could get rid of all of them in one night.”

And that’s when the worst headcanon ever hit me.

Korra and Mako are in the room with Amon. Amon goes to take Korra’s bending away, but he doesn’t really mean to take it. He means to trigger the Avatar State.

What if Amon wants to kill Korra in the Avatar State because he believes that ending the line of the Avatars will also end bending?
